Tools for Researchers

In an effort to promote research on consumer credit and consumer electronic payments, the Payment Cards Center has developed a variety of research tools. These tools include the following:

• Payments Bibliography: This searchable bibliography, which the center continuously updates, includes academic articles, books, reports, and publications related to consumer credit and payments.
• Payment Cards Data Dictionary: This data dictionary includes definitions and detailed descriptions of a variety of statistics relevant to the credit card, debit card, and ATM industries. It also includes many popular consumer economic statistics.
• Articles on Consumer Credit and Payment Statistics: Center analysts have produced a series of articles that focus on select consumer credit and consumer payment statistics.
• Consumer Statistics: Center analysts have compiled relevant tables, charts, and graphs from several different reports including: Flow of Funds B.100, L.217, L.222, G.19, Loan Charge-Offs and Delinquencies, U.S. Bankruptcy Filings, Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey (SLOOS), Federal Reserve Payments Study, U.S. Census Statistical Abstract, and the Survey of Consumer Finances.
