Philip Keitel joined the Payment Cards Center in 2007 as an industry specialist. He is responsible for researching and analyzing emerging issues in consumer credit and payments, particularly legal and regulatory issues.

Keitel holds J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Temple University, where he received the Terrence H. Klasky Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in banking, negotiable instruments, and consumer protection. He earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Tufts University. Keitel presently serves as an alumnus interviewer for Tufts' Alumni Admissions Program. He has also received a certificate from the School of Bank Card Management run by the American Bankers Association and is a member of the American and Philadelphia Bar Associations. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
