Conference Summaries

The following publications include summaries of workshops, seminars, and conferences on topics that affect low- and moderate-income people and communities.

  • Innovative Financial Tools for Serving the Underbanked PDF (250 KB, 24 pages): Summarizes a conference exploring products and programs for the underbanked, including prepaid cards, alternatives to payday lending, and the use of alternative credit data. This event was co-sponsored by the Philadelphia Fed and the Center for Financial Services Innovation.
  • Community Development Finance Research Conference Summary PDF (14 MB, 50 pages): Summarizes the papers presented at a conference that brought together 60 experts in the field of community development finance to discuss emerging research topics.
  • Recent Developments in Credit Scoring: A Summary PDF (265 KB, 22 pages): Summarizes a symposium held to explore developments that are making credit scoring a more accurate tool. Also includes an overview of credit scoring together with presenters' and discussants’ comments on three types of scores.
