Hunting Park Community Development Corporation (HPCDC)

Mission

To revitalize the surrounding community by providing quality educational, recreational, and community/social service programs and activities.

Year of Origin

1980

Core Programs

  • Works to preserve and improve the existing housing stock and provides incentives for the building and rehabilitation of decent and affordable housing, including creating both rental and homeownership opportunities for low and moderate income families.
  • CitySTARS: An after school program that provides homework help and tutoring for grade school students.
  • Project Youth Lead: Provides a safe, nurturing support network of volunteers and mentors, which creates new possibilities for at-risk teenagers and enables them to take responsibility for their own lives and community.
  • VolunteerWay: Connects people with meaningful volunteer opportunities quickly and efficiently, and to increase volunteerism in the region.
